Sigh
Raw wood panel with a supporting frame · 50 × 60 cm
There are moments when remembering feels all too much like trying to breathe underwater. Memory holds more than what we have lived; it also carries silences, fears and inherited traumas that cross generations and come to inhabit bodies that never knew their origins. We cannot tell whether the figure is emerging or sinking. Perhaps because building an identity also means learning to breathe among what we remember and what belongs to us even though we never lived it.
