And We Began a Life Different from the One We Lead

2026 · Oil on panel · 30 × 30 cm

Original title: Y empezamos una vida distinta a la que llevamos

The title comes from correspondence preserved in the family archive. The work is part of a series bringing together painting and writing to approach experiences I did not live directly. The words preserve a way of feeling and relating to the world, allowing us to hear a memory that remains active in the present.
