At first glance, the scene shows two people sharing a bed, seemingly absorbed in rest or digital connection. Yet 13 Moons reaches into a deeper layer: the emotional portrayal of a relationship between two men, in the safe intimacy of their home, away from outside judgement. It is a portrait of everyday queer life: a life that still needs protection, even in a country that prides itself on tolerance, such as Spain. Despite the progress made, we still often move through the world in fear, holding back gestures of affection and silencing what should be celebrated: free love, love without labels, real love. This work is an act of resistance from within intimacy. A reflection of how love between people of the same sex still seeks shelter in private spaces.
