At the Foot of the Castle

2026 · Oil on canvas · 150 × 105 cm

Original title: A los pies del castillo

Different family images come together beneath the presence of Dénia’s castle, a place that endures as generations are born, live and disappear. The memories do not fit together completely, yet they coexist on the same surface. Painting creates common ground between different times, where personal and inherited memory can meet.
