Painting project · Memory, identity and postmemory
Donde el tiempo se reúne
This project begins with photographs, letters and stories from the family archive. Through painting, Rubén Gimeno explores how the experiences of earlier generations remain part of our identity, even when their stories reach us only in fragments.

Painting What Begins to Disappear
Family images preserve faces and places of which few names or stories remain. Painting makes it possible to approach these absences without trying to fill every gap.
Place as an Archive
Les Rotes and Dénia connect personal memories with inherited stories. Places endure, allowing different generations to meet on the same painted surface.
Writing and Passing on Memory
Letters and the stories of my grandmother Clara accompany the photographs. Their words preserve ways of feeling and relating to the world that continue to resonate in the present.
