The Shadows of Las Rotas
2026 · Oil on panel · 81 × 100 cm
The work begins with a family photograph in which different generations pose for the camera. Some faces are clearly defined; others are reduced to silhouettes, according to what I know about those people. Much of their history has reached me through my grandmother Clara. The shadows speak of those who have disappeared, and of those who are beginning to lose their place in oral memory.
