The diptych brings together photographs taken by my great-grandfather Pepe in 1941 and images from my own childhood. Between these moments stands the family home, fragmented and incomplete, as a meeting place for generations. Painting allows these times to coexist on the same surface and personal and inherited memories to share the same ground.
